Not only are their spending habits as a non profit horrible (Mainly cause the organization has so far only been successful as sending rich white kids to Africa)
But If you…
hmm well my family is from Uganda and I won’t go as far as to say don’t support them but don’t believe the hype that they are really doing shit. At the end of the day it’s all politics. What I’d like to see is for Ugandans to take back control of our own resources/country and not have to make all these deals with the U.S. and the likes. Are these people that arrogant to believe that they can really erase the problems in the manner that they are going about it? They aren’t interested in addressing the root. They just want to be able to give themselves a pat on the back.
And one thing i can’t stand is how organizations like these fail to give a voice to the people they are supposedly helping. Let them tell their own stories. And stop pretending that one individual is the cause of a problem that began centuries ago (beginning with the arrival of people who look like the ones coming to “help” us now).
